“Chinese drywall” is a gypsum board like all other drywall with the exception that is was made in China.  Gypsum is one of the main ingredients in most drywall. The gypsum mined in China has a higher level of sulfur.  This sulfur is producing sulfides which is causing the drywall to be considered “Chinse(Reactive/Corrosive) Drywall”.  These sulfide gases are damaging thousands of homes by reacting corrosively to metals (copper, brass, silver, etc.) used as building materials in them.
